Sarah Guinan

(Physiotherapist)

Sarah qualified in 1988 from Coventry University. She has worked in various NHS Hospitals in the UK including Nottingham, Lancaster and Chester but has also spent time working in Brisbane and Canberra in Australia.

Since qualifying she has gained a wealth of experience in a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions in various settings including Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic and A&E Outpatient clinics as well as local G.P Surgeries. She worked at the Countess of Chester Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist for several years, where she also mentored more junior staff and Physiotherapy students from Liverpool University. She has been working in private practice since 2003.

Sarah has many years of experience in spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal disorders and uses both hands-on treatments alongside advice on exercise programmes. She also uses acupuncture at times, usually alongside other Physiotherapy treatments.

Her hobbies include running. She has been a keen runner for some years and enjoys both road running and trail running. She has previously competed in both half marathons and full marathons but more recently runs more for fun and fitness.

Sarah has also previously competed in triathlons including both Sprint distances and Standard/Olympic distances. She cycles regularly with her husband and enjoys hill walking with friends.
