Sciatica

Sciatica is a pain felt in the buttock and down the back of the leg to the foot. It can be on one side or both at the same time. The pain can range from a dull ache, a burning sensation, burning, pins and needles/ numbness to severe pain. It can be constant and severe or intermittent and merely a nuisance.

It can be caused by the sciatic nerve which runs from the back down the leg to the foot, being irritated or compressed by a disc, a blocked spinal joint, postural problems and weak muscles.
